Use your old t-shirts, recycled leather or Dad's pants to make your self a totally awesome and sustainable Upcycled Laptop case! Applique and beading can both be used to decorate the outer pocket to personalize.

Who is this for: Beginners. You must know how to thread a sewing machine to take this class.

Techniques taught: Applique, installing zippers, turning loops to make handles and bagging a lining.

Supplies: Bring your own garments to upcycle, or dig through our giant pile of fabric and leather scraps! You will need to bring a metal or plastic zipper that is 4″ longer than your laptop. You will also need to bring your laptop or measure it beforehand.

Nothing makes us happier than helping our students realize their creative goals. It doesn't matter if you're working on your first pillow case, a new purse, a piece of textile art to hang on your wall or a couture evening gown. Every student and every project is important to us. We provide serious sewing skills in a beautiful, well equipped and fun studio where students connect with their creativity, learn and leave with a renewed sense of empowerment and inspiration. Sewing is our passion. We can't wait to share our studio with you!
